Awesome Aviation places Beech 1900D Airliner on lease in Indonesia

Departing out of Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday 9 April 2006, some of the Awesome Aviation team headed for Singapore as they ferried a Beech 1900D (serial number UE-94). This aircraft has been placed on lease to Airfast in Indonesia where it will be deployed as a corporate shuttle.

The aircraft will undergo an import C of A in Singapore at Hawker Pacific’s Seletar facility and thereafter it will be placed on the Indonesian register. Hawker Pacific is licensed to work on Indonesian registered aircraft and they undertake approval work on behalf of various aviation authorities. Upon completion, the aircraft will be delivered to Airfast Indonesia in Jakarta and will operate under call sign PK-OCW.

Speaking about the aircraft, Awesome Aviations’ Dieter Ebeling says,” This Beech 1900D has been completely refurbished, with new paint, interior and fresh Phase I-VI inspections. Both engines have been overhauled to zero time by Pratt and Whitney Canada at their facility in Montreal and the 9000 hour TBO’s have been embodied. Furthermore, this aircraft is configured as an 18 seat executive shuttle and is fitted with an aft toilet.”

The proposed ferry routing was FALA-Nampula-Seychelles-Maldives-Sri Lanka-Medan-Singapore and the arrival was on 12 April 2006
